With a total of 1400 sqm of rental space, including 513 sqm of retail on the first floor, 225 sqm of office space on the second floor, and 660 sqm of residential space on the upper floors, the building is a busy house despite its age. In order to allow history and the present to coexist harmoniously here in the center of the city and to make it durable for the future, the old building is now to be renovated in accordance with monument guidelines. aedus envisages an external upgrade of the roof and the facade. The old head pharmacy on the first floor was richly decorated with striking store arcades and ornamental facades and still characterizes the street view today. As the second skin and face of the building, the facade must therefore be treated with particular care and attention. Wooden windows based on historical models are to be installed here and will contribute to preserving the authentic facade appearance. Inside, the building will be modernized and the access optimized. The elevator will be replaced and the original staircase will be refreshed in its special charm. In the future utilization concept, the mix of working, living, retail and gastronomy is to be maintained and optimized.
